Groundlane's AI Project Assistant helps you plan projects and qualify quote requests using a large language model. Here's what that means in practice.
The AI never does the math
Every quantity, weight, or cost figure the assistant shows you comes from the same deterministic calculator functions used across the rest of the site — never from the language model itself. The AI decides which calculator to run and how to explain the result; it does not invent numbers.
Nothing saves automatically
The assistant does not create projects, save calculations, or submit leads on your behalf. You explicitly choose what to save using the buttons shown alongside each result.
Lead summaries
When you request local quotes, an AI-generated summary of your project may be shown to matched contractors alongside your submitted details. This summary is generated only from the information you provided and is intended to save you from re-explaining your project by phone or email.
Limitations
AI responses can occasionally be imprecise in their wording. Always verify a plan or material list before purchasing materials or beginning construction.
